JetBlue Credit Card Offers Record High Bonus

jetBlue is giving out 100,000 point signing bonus for new applicants to their Plus card. That is more than double the standard 40,000 point bonus on this card. If you fly with jetBlue this offer is defiantly worth considering.

With this offer you earn 50k points after $1000 of spend in the first 90 days. Earn the remaining 50k after spending a total of $6000 within 12 months.

I think that is a great offer for the current times. The first 50k is more than the regular offer and with a small $1000 spend requirement that is an easy get. That alone is a fair deal, but what I really love is having a full year to earn the remaining points. With cases going up again, I’ve been canceling flights, not booking them. There is no rush for me to earn the additional 50k and it gives me something to look forward to.

This is also a great play for jetBlue, as it gets people using the card over a year while stuck at home daydreaming of all the places they will fly to in the future… with jetBlue.

Not to mention the sale of points to banks is big business for airlines who need all the revenue they can get.

Who should apply?

Well, it goes without saying that if you were thinking about getting the card before, now is the time.

This card is a good option for those who do mostly domestic travel, which is all anyone can do right now. It is especially appealing to those who live in one of their hub cities with lots of flight options like Boston or New York.

The details

Do be aware this card has a $99 annual fee that is not waived the first year, so be ready to pay that upfront.

The card also gets you:

  • 5k points on account anniversary
  • 50% off in-flight purchases
  • No foreign transaction fee
  • 6x points on flight bookings (if you’re brave right now)
  • 2x points on restaurants and grocery
