United Airlines Achieves 787 Trifecta

United Airlines’ first 787-10 entered service on Monday. The aircraft began transcontinental service with flight UA2418 departing Los Angeles for Newark, New Jersey. This addition makes United the first airline to operate all three variants of the aircraft.

A second 787-10 is planned for delivery in February will be used between hubs in San Francisco and Newark, then in March the airline plans to start sending the aircraft on international routes.

These aircraft are delivered with United’s new Polaris Business Class and Premium Plus seats.

Premium Plus is also being added to the airline’s 777, 767, and existing 787 aircraft.
